2400 An Indian Odyssey
Gord Hill, Tania WillardPeter Morin
A blend of traditional and contemporary style in their paintings to confront everything from political protest and First Nation fisheries unions to drug addiction and colonialism.
Tania Willard's work envisions how first nations people's identity, language, location and geography will change for and in the future. we are not just people and culture living in the past this is only a small part of our story. Now there is a present and the future that need to be taken into consideration... this is the new place, the new path and the new direction. Gord Hill is a member of the Kwakwaka’wakw nation on the Northwest Coast. Writer, artist, and militant, he has been involved in Indigenous resistance, anti-colonial and anti-capitalist movements for many years, often using the pseudonym Zig Zag.
