New Shapes
Georgie Haggerty
No description available
I have always made things, beginning with crepe paper flowers (at about age three), then carpentering with my brother and playing in my uncle's farm blacksmith shop where our slightly older cousin showed us how to use the various tools. Now, at age seventy-five, this paper sculpture is for me very much like those childhood games. I use materials and space that are available and inexpensive. It is the process of creating these forms that is important to me. However, when someone likes them well enough to exhibit, view and/or buy - then the process is complete.
