This is a retrospectiv eshow of introspective paintings done over a personally dramatic three year period of Claire's life: 1982 - 1985.

"When the sea pulls back towards the horizon along the coast of Normandy, the rock-formations , wet sands. seaweed, stones and shells that lie on the ground beneath, are revealed. Once a mont, at full-moon, the high-tides, come in further, and consequently recede further. These vast spaces interest me, as do certain times in my life when the surface layer is shattered and my personal landscapes are uncovered."
