Solo Performance
Marlene Madison Plimley
No description available
As art is increasingly processed through the media and into the realm of popular culture, I have become progressively more interested in popular culture-specifically fashion's symbolic function in film and video, consumerism and feminism. The environment in which media fashion is presented often says more about the fashion than the product itself. This proposed piece relates to the discourse around fashion and idetity and explores the representation of fashion as it is processed through and presented to us via the media [fashion TV, fashion magazines, displays, advertisements, etc.]
