Catherine Jones' painting series Intifada are portraits of Palestinian children in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Jones found these images a year ago in a National Inquirer and was struck by their beauty and power. They show the masks the Palestinians wear in their skirmishes with the modern Israeli army. The timeliness of these images in light of the current war in the Middle East is considerable.

ARCTICNOISE is a media installation by Geronimo Inutiq (madeskimo) that draws on film footage and sound materials source from the Isuma Archive at the National Gallery of Canada, as well as sound and film materials from the artist's personal collection and other ethnographic material. Conceived as an Indigenous response to Glenn Gould's celebrated composition "The Idea of the North". Inutiq will appropriate Gould's piece as a musical score, paired with new voices and imagery to produce a layered and multi-vocal work.

Together Apart has been envisioned as a way of making and holding space for 2SQ/Indigiqueer folks to come together and to be in dialogue with one another so that we might centre the conversations we’d like to hear or that we feel have been absent in our communities. However, our intentions are also simple: to celebrate and enjoy one another’s creativity and dedication to our practices, and to recognize one another in such a way that speaks across the distances we experience in our living and movement through our worlds.
