Flowers are a reoccurring subject in Brenna George's art. Her use of attractive materials- tin, pine boards, and plastic flowers- add to the lush images. The beauty of the image is balanced by underlying concerns which range from unfulfilling employment to hidden personal potential.

Ablakela is a performance work by Dana Claxton produced as a live performance, a live internet telecast and an enhanced audio CD with a CD ROM track. The work was produced in October 1999 as grunt's contribution to the performance festival Live at the End of the Century. Ablakela, the word meaning calm in the Lakota language, employed a large video projection of the artist, live, braiding grass while accompanied by two singers of the Native American Church. The simple, 45 minute work explores Lakota spirituality within a performance art construct.

I would like to propose a show of paintings and text to be presented at the grunt gallery. The title of the show would be called The Hardy Boys Revisited. The premise of the work would be that the Hardy Boys would be freed from the narrative time warp in which they are trapped perpetually as seventeen and eighteen year olds. By using fictitious book covers and titles the works chronicle their progression into adulthood and bring Frank and Joe Hardy into the 90's. For the purposes of this show they will begin aging from the late 60's, making them in 1995 in their mid 40's
